Andrew Digby

My research interests are conservation biology and behavioural ecology. I am employed as a conservation biologist by the New Zealand Department of Conservation, working on the kakapo and takahe recovery programmes.

I have completed two PhDs: the first in Astrophysics, and the second in Conservation Biology. The main focus of the first was low-mass stars; the second was on kiwi bioacoustics, using sound to further understanding of animal behaviour and to assist species conservation.

To read more about my research past and present, please see the bioacoustics & kiwi and astronomy research pages.
